Welcome. My name is Kitty Holmquist and I live in the U.S. in a small town in Wisconsin with my husband, two dogs, two cats and an exchange student from Thailand. I've taught English since 2000 and have a bachelor's degree in English and history. I also have a masters in teaching English as a Second language.
From 2000 to 2010, I taught students between the ages of 12 and 18 both English and history. In 2010, I started using my masters degree with business people from all over the world. Teaching English at all levels and meeting new cultures is very important to me.
I was an exchange student and lived in Denmark with a family for 3 months. They didn't teach me Danish but wanted me to help them with their English. I think that is when the bug to teach English started. I've also taken three years of French but do not consider my French to be very good.
I've taught people from Asia, Europe, South America and India. My family has hosted 6 students from four countries. Teaching others to speak English is a delight and learning from you is a joy.
If you would like an English teacher who is enthusiastic, fun, and enjoys life then, I would be a good choice. My students say that they like my classes because they enjoy learning new expressions. I believe it is important to be encouraging and supportive to all my students. It would be a pleasure to work with you via Skype.

I have lived in United States my whole life except when I was an exchange student in Denmark for a summer. I have a bachelors in to teach English and history in the high school and a masters in teaching English as a second or other language. I've been teaching English since 2000 working at first in the high school and from 2010 to present with business people all over the world from Turkey to Spain. I love to read both American and British authors and enjoy sharing TED videos.
