Art

I am from Dublin, the capital of Ireland, where according to George Bernard Shaw, the best English is spoken.
My background is in tv documentary production, work that took me all over Ireland and to different parts of the world, Asia, Africa, the US, the South Pacific.
I am interested in Irish history and culture, so I like telling visitors about Ireland.
But I am also interested in current affairs and world cultures, so I enjoy meeting people from around the world, and listening to them talk about their country.
I have been teaching for more than ten years, in class and online.
I have taught adults and teenagers.

I teach Business English and General English
I can help you with Grammar and Vocabulary, and with pronunciation and accent reduction.
I can help you prepare for IELTS and TOEFL exams.
I use various text books, and material from English language websites.

I am from Dublin, once the second city of the British Empire, the home of Oscar Wilde who claimed that here in Dublin we speak the best English in the world.
Hiberno English, or English translated directly from Irish used to be widely spoken here.  But over the last 50 years, since the arrival of television our English has been influenced by Britain and America, so now we speak a mixture of the two.
