Throughout my life, I have had influential teachers who inspired me to love languages, English in particular. It was inevitable that I would continue studying English and so I completed a BA Drama (Hon) with a focus on dramatic literature, performance and creative writing. The skills I learnt as a performer directly contributed to my teaching style, which is conversational, flexible and, I am told, highly entertaining.
I have been an English teacher for 10 years at schools, Colleges and more recently Language Schools in South Africa. I have taught students from Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia; teenagers to older professionals. Every student comes with a specific need to learn English, each has specific problems that must be addressed.
My aim as a teacher has always been to give my students the best chance to learn the grammar, improve pronunciation and use English with confidence and ease. If conversation, writing or exam preparation is what you need, we will find the best way to get you the best outcome. By working together we will achieve your goal. This I can promise.

Try out one of the quick exercises I have added to see what your level is and what you need to brush up on. Studying a language requires human interaction though, so sign up for an introductory lesson today! I believe English must be taught with humour, purpose and within a realistic context. Without these elements, the language is dead and boring. On the contrary, English is alive, poetic and a vital skill for anyone wanting to expand their resume or studying options.
