Rana

My life is full of adventures. Frankly, it began when I was just born. I guess it was my destiny. I travelled, I met a lot if interesting people and I did a lot of interesting things.

Moscow is my hometown, I love it's beauty, but it is cold, considering the fact that my father is from Syria.

Damascus is my second hometown, where I spent equal time as in Moscow. But Damascus showed me its beauty and oriental magic.

Now I live in Turkey, the country of wild mixture of Europe and Asia and it is very, very tempting.

The biggest adventure I am going through now is my baby boy Adrian, he will be born soon... And I can't wait.

I have been teaching for over than 3 years, Russian, English and Spanish. I studied in the State Moscow lingustic University translatiin and interpretation. I had  a great opportunity to learn most of the existing methods for learnig languages. Now I am in favour of communicative method which is the best for quick learning. I also know Arabic language which can help for teaching arab speakers.

Languages are a great tandem of system, logic and intuition, I can teach you how to feel the language, the way most of the profesional linguists do.

Russian is my mother tongue. My first words were in Russian.

According to my experience, the most difficult part in learning is to overcome the differences at the alphabetic level, the rest is simpler than it looks. Three main tenses, easy structures, flexible order of the sentences. In reading there are no omitted letters, most of them are pronounced the way there were put in the word.

At the beginning, simple structures must be learnt, then everything comes through practice. After some time, the inner compass will guide you. The most important thing is to keep practicing, using recently learnt words, listening.

Russian is a very beautiful language and very flexible. In addition it is very poetic.
